Estafette

Federated protocol for distributing news, events, and wire-service content across a peer-to-peer relay network.

What is Estafette?

Estafette is a federated relay network for distributing structured content records across geographic and topical areas. Sources publish signed content records to areas; relays replicate and forward them to subscribers.

Content is organized into areas following a three-level hierarchy: category.neighborhood.locale. News, events, wire-service feeds, and operational alerts each occupy their own category namespace.

Protocol

Content records follow an email-like wire format. Each record is signed by its source and carries structured headers for routing, verification, and geo-anchoring.
